The Nakusp & District Sports Complex is the recreational hub of our community, housing our:
- indoor squash courts
- four-sheet curling rink
- auditorium with concession facilities (used for large events)
- arena (ice hockey, figure skating, public skating . . .)
The Complex accommodates a diverse number of events and user groups. During emergencies, it has been used as an evacuation center and a base for fire fighters. Our children grow up figure skating or playing hockey in this building, and when they graduate or get married, the complex is their venue of choice. Senior citizens utilize the auditorium as a walking track in the winter, and many fairs, theatres and events are held in this building.
Public Skating Schedule
The public skating schedule can change at a moments notice. Please be sure to check back regularly. Private ice rentals are made through the Village Office; please call us at 250.265.3689 for more information.
