Emergency Services

In the event of an emergency, please dial 911 for assistance.

Emergency Preparedness

Now is the best time to prepare yourself and your family for an emergency.  Despite the best efforts of rescue personnel, it is your responsibility to be self-sufficient for a minimum of 72 hours.

In times of emergency, our service providers must contend with an overwhelming number of requests for aid.  All that you can do to help to relieve the burden on our dedicated rescue personnel is greatly appreciated.

The Regional District of Central Kootenay has information on cold weather safety, winter driving, preparing a car kit, floods, power outages, evacuations and other useful links.

Please take the time and visit PreparedBC for British Columbia disaster readiness information.
